[Cracked Sidewalks] Central Michigan Preview
« on: October 16, 2022, 08:06:56 AM »
Last year's CMU had their worst kenpom ranking in program history and saw five of the top-six scorers leave in the off-season. What can we expect from the first official MBB game at the Al in 8 years? Cracked Sidewalks breaks it down.

This is the kind of game MU could lose.   Why is it at the Al again?
Why don't we have a better on campus arena?   Stupid Wojo.

Ha!  This is a game that seems like an inevitable win.  Now, can we score over 60 points?  Not sure.

Shaka says this year's team will play faster than last year.    So fewer games in the 50's.    ;D

Looking at my Lindy’s Review, I see that The Chippewas have a 6’9” newcomer named Carrington McCaskill. Wondering if any relation to Amal? Google didn’t help.

We are 20th in tempo on KP, obvious small sample size though.

Don’t think so. From Detroit. Started at FAU but got booted from the team for assaulting his gf.

Thanks again Brew for compiling these. I know these take a ton of work, time taken away from your family. But these are appreciated greatly. I like coming back to these as the games unfold.

Will The Al be filled?

I doubt it will be filled because the AL doesn't sell alcohol.

They're still telling students to claim tickets so I'm guessing it won't be.

Looking back to my days, I don’t think too many of my friends would be interested in a central Michigan game regardless of venue.

Interested, meh.  Show up? Student section was always full when I was there.  And I was there for two years of Dukiet.

I doubt it will be filled because the AL doesn't sell alcohol.

Sneak in small bottles of booze, buy a pop, mix & enjoy. The kids will be fine!

I am expecting to see a crushing victory by Marquette!

CMU filled their vacant roster spots with some decent players. They are young but have a ton of size.

Spread is MU -18 and the over/under is 151. So they are expecting Marquette to score in the high 80s. Should be an easy evening as long as we rebound like we did on Monday.

My daughter goes to UCF. She says the reason that the students like the high scoring offense is each time they score the huge flag that the students drape over themselves is excellent cover for fireball shots without the cops seeing it.
