RIP Len Dawson
« on: August 24, 2022, 04:58:41 PM »
Great Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Len Dawson passed away. Loved how he led the Chiefs to that Super Bowl win over The Vikings.  Was also the Chiefs quarterback in Super Bowl I

Winning is overrated. The only time it is really important is in surgery and war.

Smoking at halftime of the Super Bowl will kill you.   Eventually.

Or maybe just being old.

Never saw him play.  Knew of him from Inside The NFL.  Before Primetime and SportsCenter went mainstream, it was the show you waited for to see all the highlights from the week before

Yep, Len Dawson and my guy, Nick Buoniconti. Looking back at it now, it was a pretty bad show. But it's what we had back then, as you say.
