Looks like Fields will be playing vs. MU.  He's a very good player and one of the guys I hate the most on Pitt.  That said, he's coming off an injury and you have to wonder how much he's been able to practice.  I'm on the fence on whether his return will help or hurt Pitt tonight.  Either way, this game is not a gimme.

FIRE UP MARQUETTE!!

"Fields is expected to play tonight for the first time since he fractured a bone in his left foot in a game Dec. 29 against Dayton. Fields will be a reserve off the bench against a Marquette team that has won five of its past seven."

When he enters the game - RUN.  Then RUN more.

I'd test him to see if he can guard James or McNeal on the perimeter.

I like the DJ vs. Fields match-up for tonight... no way Fields with his injury can stay in front of DJ... hell barely anyone in the league can stay in front of him.  Don't get me wrong, I think Fields is a great defensive player but i'd be shocked if he's on the floor when Pitt is looking for key defensive stops.  The kid has had only 2 practices since returning from a 6 week layoff.
