Those Marquette sites also have minimal subscribers, so Marquette doesnt make them any money.  If the Marquette premium boards on those sites were as active as most other P6 schools the national writers would pay more attention to Marquette.  Its annoying as a Marquette fan but not surprising.

To be fair, that's partly MUScoop's fault.  If you all would unsubscribe from our premium board (yes, this one, right here), you might have enough cash left to subscribe to the others...

Great article. I like how Zaire has worked his way up from JV to Varsity sub and now leader of the team. Bodes well for him working through the transition from high school to college ball.

Zaide has decided to transfer to La Lumiere, in La Porte, IN for next season.

(This is the school to which Jaden Ivey transferred, from Marian near South Bend, before college...among others)

Jordan Poole went there as well

So did that kid with goggles for Depaul

It's a very well known prep school for basketball. They have several NBA players amongst their alumni. One of them is playing in the Finals right now.

Also Jim Gaffigan's high school.

I know several families who send their kids there.  Very good school.

I had German class in there as well.

With Chase likely sidelined, this is the guy I want to see Marquette utilize. Chase benefitted from playing time last year. Would love to see Zaide get that opportunity with Chase out. I'm still convinced he will be really really good for us.

Why? Do you know something the coaching staff does not or are you just throwing out hunches? I am not opposed to Shaka playing anyone, but guessing there is a reason he has gotten little playing time.

I just think he has the obvious skillset to replace Ross. He's big, athletic, and can shoot.

I saw Chase blossom into a much needed role player as a Freshman and would love to see Zaide get the opportunity to do the same while Chase is out. It is all about reaching peak potential and having another guy that can play 2-4 on offense and defend 1-4 on defense just gives them more versatility.

You may be right, I just have not seen enough of him to make any judgement on him.

Is that statistically significant after playing limited minutes and even less with MUs better players?   Not that granular with stats.  Is this a real red flag for you JB?

On 11% usage.  Hard to draw any conclusions when such a high percentage of your minutes are played in garbage time.

Zaide might end up being great... in a few years.  I don't think he's ready to be a contributor on a top 15 team yet.  Not a knock against him, as there are probably very few true Freshman that could be.

He's taken 10 total shots on the season in limited action. Prettiest looking shot on the team with some of the most athleticism 🤷‍♂️
