Turns out even without their point guard, Creighton was a bad matchup. At least we'll hear our name on Sunday.

Well I'd rather be a 10 than an 8 or 9.  That being said, our ceiling in the tourney is 1 win.

Disappointing loss but certainly not worth losing your mind over.

Woof. Team just was never very good. Overachieved for a month but it's been mostly meh other than that. Glad we'll be dancing. Bummed we don't have more hoops to watch this weekend. Hopefully a 10 seed. crap even an 11 would be good.

Oh well. My weekend is suddenly wide open.
was ucla a 12-seed last year? Lavin says we're his dark horse final 4 team. Ha

Some have mentioned it, but a loss was probably the best thing for MU's seed.

Might not matter though, the gas tank on this year's squad might be empty.

Bad bad bad basketball. If we played the entire game with the urgency we showed late we win going away.

Interesting.  I saw no urgency as well until it was way too late.  Totally inexplicable.

Shaka badly needs to find a big bodied 5 in the portal that isn't a puss on the boards. Our rebounding all year has been pathetic. If Kur wasn't 7 foot he wouldn't even get minutes at the local ymca. He's terrible. I like Oso's upside but he's so soft in the paint.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

I listened on radio, you could tell they sounded flat

nyg

Kalkbrenner and Feazell.  19 points and 10 rebounds
Kuath and Oso.   2 points and three rebounds

Except for one game in last ten, this has been abysmal and MU cannot overcome the deficit in the center position.  I didn't even include turnovers, not grabbing the ball, etc.

Play Justin at the 5,what the hell

Huge issue especially when you consider they can't stretch the floor as well.

Exactly this.  While JL would have given up size today he's much stronger than Oso and Kur.  Creates more of a match up problem.

Well, we WERE Marquette for one glorious 6 game stretch.

That made me laugh.

Yea... play Lewis at the 5

Oso and Kur are AWFUL!  They are soft, can't shoot ... can't rebound... don't box out.  Other than that ...

I have said this like 5 games ago but honestly Lewis' interior D was bad as well.  I think it's the right call but we are super soft inside both guarding man to man and with the help D and defensive glass as well.

Oso seems like a much better program fit for TFG

Kur and Oso are the weak links by a large margin. Just because they are tall doesn't mean they should split 40 minutes by default. Marquette's intensity on both ends of the floor doubles when they are both on the bench. I also think sitting them will cut the turnovers in half.

Fred Garvin

Justin would draw the 5 of the other team out as well

Warrior of Law

To the extent that any transfer big men watched the game today, that can't hurt.  There are a lot of minutes to be had next year for multiple players in the front court.

It's hard to believe how this team has turned into hot garbage.  Why they didn't press the whole game against a team that was without its point guard is beyond me.

But we're not going to be a 10.
