It worked. Now MU fans are double blue heading into March.

I said game one that Stubblefield was onto something but we mocked, and mocked. I was at Wintrust tonight and the MU fans in front of me mocked some more.
That defense by DePaul was pretty good tonight. They should be happy about their season overall, could've won several more.

They have a new coach, we have a better new coach. We are dancing, they are not.
I didn't like the body language tonight, Coach or player tbh. A lot of what seemed to me as uneasiness and lack of calm (outside of Darryl).

We have a chance to finish our season and story strong. Lets find a way to do it.

There were a number of upsetting things tonight Dr. V.  One thing that I think is worth discussing (and hasn't been mentioned )is we need to find a way to initiate offense other than just Kolek going off the bounce.  Jlew's passing the ball from the post could lead to better ball movement.

Sure Muggsy but a bit too late to find ways.

Take what you've got and try to harness it and make it perform at its peak.

You are right though- TyKo hasn't been himself for well over a month now. He may be himself, but he hasn't been the pg facilitator we saw.
If that happens this month it's planB, pretty much round and round until you find the hot offensive hand. Then you let Darryl try to run things and him plus Justin win the game offensively.

Unfortunately it's where we are.  Biggest hope is that this "shutdown" of the elite offensive flow ("elite" that we very oddly saw in the toughest stretch of the season!) goes away when MU faces teams that haven't scouted them. We will see in a few weeks.

Worst offensive hope is exceptional defense, heart and grit and then hope Justin and Darryl carry the squad along with a role player or two nailing some threes.

Why does MU always fold during the end of the season?
Other teams hit their stride and end the year strong and MU lays gooseeggs.

If we aren't gonna o rebound,, they need to get back. So many transition buckets killed us tonight.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

We seem to have a dilemma with tempo.  Clearly we want to play fast but at times (especially when we're missing threes) it really hurts us defensively.  This is not a good transition defensive team.  Quick missed shots allow our opponents to get into transition as do of course the turnovers.  When you do not have the discipline to take quality shots when teams goes on a run it can snowball quickly.  I was extremely disappointed tonight and did not expect this performance.

During the stretch when DePaul got hot, we made it very easy for them to build an insurmountable lead by rushing bad shots and/or turning the ball over.

I brought this up a little while ago and got shot down, but I suggested that maybe there is something wrong with the strength and conditioning program since MU tends to fade down the stretch every year.
