A second amendment devotee celebrating freedom.

Shots fired in my neighborhood early this afternoon.

Why is it you celebrate and worship guns in one post and lament random gunshots in another?

When I went to Marquette, they shot at you, not at your car.  Kids today are soft.

Guns, guns, guns! Good family fun! Collect them all!

The dentists are right ... Marquette is a hellscape. The only way the university can possibly clean it up is by handing out 10 guns to every student at registration.

The dentists want walls. The within the walls they want Boston Robotic dogs vaporizing anyone (but mostly minorities) without a MUID.

this is from a very creative, but demented mind.  scary there are so many more of these out there

"Why is it you celebrate and worship guns in one post and lament random gunshots in another? "

once again, a total misunderstanding of the issue.  "celebrate"   "worship" ???

nice try.  let's try to enlighten you-

                   how about respect and appreciate.

   next, "lament"?

of course everyone should be against the actions of an ill advised person abusing guns.  understand, when a person puts themselves in a position to abuse anything, a car, a bat, a knife, and oh yes, a gun, they should be "lamented"  these inanimate objects do not, in and of themselves cause any harm.  put an evil person behind any of these, and evil outcome could be the result.  most people would "lament" that, right?

It was nice of you to not bother formatting something you just lifted with a copy and paste from somewhere on the internet.

Lenny’s Tap was on the southeast corner of 18th and State. Maybe it was the ghost of Smokey (my favorite regular/bum) - angered that his favorite watering hole was no more.

Yes, our esteemed dental contingent is trying very hard to believe that the neighborhood surrounding Marquette was a crime-free utopia pre-2020.

Exactly.  I remember being told during my MU orientation week in August, 1979, "DO NOT go north of State Street."

Someone was shot and killed right outside of what is now the Aurora hospital on 14th and State when I lived at 14th and Kilbourn.  Summer of 1989 I believe?

I live at 932 N 18th my junior year (just south of Lenny’s Tap on 18th and State. Gray house, red door. There were three newer brick apartments just east of us across an alley on Kilbourn. We’re you in the northernmost of those?

You know what would be quicker?  A list of those who DON'T have a crime/shooting story from their time at MU.
