why do they point out that Yao Ming is from China in the caption, its not like they state that Novak is from MU or Battier from Duke... odd

I don't want to read to much into all that, but it looks to me like Steve is very popular with his teammates. I know it was a win, but they look particularly happy for him. Great to see!

It should usually come as a shock to see McGrady pass in a situation like that, but I think he has a lot of faith in Novak.  He's been quoted as saying Novak is the best shooter he's ever seen, and I can't argue with him.

it was great to hear Scott Van Pelt throw some love to Steve and his days back at Marquette in the sports center recap.  I love seeing these guys get some press in the league.

The story also indicates that it was McGrady who told Adelman to put Novak in the game for that situation.  Pretty good to see the confidence from not only Steve but from his team as well.

I've read some of the posts about Steve on the Houston page of RealGM.com and a lot of the Houston fans have been pretty hard on him mainly because of his defensive deficiencies. It's nice to see that he hasn't lost any confidence in his shot and to see that his Rockets teammates appreciate his abilities. Way to go, Steve!!
