What are Scoopers thinking on this game?

I'm taking MU and the points for a conservative wager of $100.  Scored a $100 win on Providence getting +3.5 at St. Johns last night.  Surprised me they were a 3.5 point underdog.

Staying away tonight. We had a really good plan against Nova last time and limited their quality looks but I think a lot of the win comes down to 3P shooting variance (13-29 for 44.8% for MU vs. 6-24 for 25% for Nova). I expect some regression to the mean today, which needs we'll need to rebound better or force Nova into turnovers, and I'm not all that confident we can do that.

I find myself betting for our opponent's moneyline occasionally.

If Marquette wins I could care less about the money.  If they lose at least I get something out of it.

Going in on both again!!

Gooser - You are hyper-bullish!  I've won on every MU bet placed since Georgetown, as they've covered every game...yet I didn't go Moneyline on any of the games other than at Nova and the first MU Seton Hall game which was only a +105 Moneyline.  You've hit big on the Moneylines consistently.  #bigballs

Only bet I have lost on MU over past eight games was the money line on the game on Sunday. I did go light on both bets on Sunday. Tonight, will be a tad more aggressive.

This is a reminder to bet wisconsibly.

As for tonight, heck I don't know so I won't touch the spread, although a Marquette money liner would sure be nice.

I find myself liking the OU again, this time the over at 132,5 (moved from 133,5 last I checked).
This one isn't based on numbers like the last game was, however, and that's always dangerous.

This one is based on just a gut feeling.
I really like tonight being a higher scoring game. I think Marquette will be super energized with a lively crowd and the fellas will play aggressive and fast. I'm not sure if that'll alone be enough to win the game, but my instinct tells me it'll be enough for an exciting game and higher scoring one than the line currently set.

If Marquette plays energized and fast and hits a few shots I think Nova follows suit and the game ends up beating the total comfortably

MU82

If I were betting, I'd go big on both the spread and the money line.

But of course that's easy for me to say because I don't bet on MU games.

MU by 6 tonight. We Are Marquette!

I would take Nova to cover the spread. Jay will have them ready for revenge.

With a 9pm tip, VU players are going to feel as if they are playing from 10-midnight.

Go MU!

In college, those were pretty much my prime hours.

Of course, I wasn't an elite athlete.

agreed.  bovada's rewards are hard to beat for the first year or so.  bookmaker has the best lines and somewhat reduced juice for many games...along with early odds for CBB games.  betonline is reliable as well.  betus is endorsed by gary payton, so what could go wrong.  really i'm amazed at how good the overseas books are getting given the us competition.  using bitcoin makes things so much easier as well.

Attached is the action on my online site..heavy on the under 79% of bettors going with the under.  Which means you probably take the over!

I like the over tonight

Seems counterintuitive given both teams defensive metrics, but DoctorV laid out his case.  It just seems that inevitably the most heavily convicted bet, ends up losing.

That being said, I'm staying away on the O/U.  I feel best about MU +4.5.

I am staying away, but think over is the call.

Clarify/explain "it just seems that inevitably the most heavily convicted bet ends up losing" for me

No science behind the statement..more a function of if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.  However, in last night's Providence-St. Johns game, I was shocked Providence was getting 3.5..seemed like a no-brainer..and the "obvious" bet turned out to be the right choice.

The concept of a "sucker bet" applies too.  But, as I've mentioned before it seems as though the lines and O/U are simply set off of KenPom projections.  He predicts Nova to win 68-64 what do you know?  The point spread is 4.5 and the O/U is 132.

Yeah you do 82!  I wish I was betting more than $50 per game.
