I've never seen a team with so much talent be such a poor shooting team.... unbelievable.

Until they figure out how to bring it for 40 mins, there might be a few more nights like this.

Yeah that was really sad, even the open shots.  And Fitz is suppose to be our best 3 point shooter? No intensity what-so-ever on either side of the ball.

Two years in a row .. win Great Alaska Shootout, lose our own B&G Classic.  Win the CBE (vs. DUKE) lose our own B&G Classic.

I don't think it's that we don't have energy for 40 minutes.  I think it's that we're not a good FG shooting team.  Take away the layups and tip drills or dunks, and our jumper/3ptr% is probably in the low 30s.   And I'm not talking about a couple games, it's been a season long issue.

If we don't start shooting (something that's tough to improve, especially since we're more than half way thru our cupcakes) .. we're gonna be about 8-8 in the Big East.

one of the worst MU efforts I have witnessed.
didn't seem to be much of a game plan, and no adjustments whatsoever to compensate.

don't mind a loss... but in our own tourny... at home.... to freakin Upper North Dakota at Nowhere University?
please.

waste of my Sat. night.
:P

Exactly hilltopper.  The energy was there.  What was Crean talking about when he said the defensive energy wasn't there?  It was.  We just couldn't finish.  Shoot fifty percent and our defense looks awesome.

They have to find a way to knock down the outside shot.  They are only shooting 31.3% from outside and that number is inflated from the 2 hot games (Detroit and E. Michigan).  Take those 2 games out and we only shoot 24.8% from the arc.  No wonder teams just pack the lane and take charges against us.

scary stats.....I'd expect TC to start running a few looks for Fitz and Cubillan - - gotta find a sniper

I'd be curious to know our FG% when all shots in the paint are removed, and you're just counting jumpers, not layups or slashes to the hoop.  Gotta figure it's close to 30% or lower.  That's a recipe for disaster against good teams, of which, we have many in our future.
