distancing, sure. Wearing a mask? Still on the Fauci train, I see.

Its hard to believe that teams aren't vaccinated.

They're playing in front of thousands of fans every week who aren't tested, aren't masked and vaccination status unknown. Where are the public health officials there?

Public health officials will have absolutely zero bearing on this whatsoever. If the NFL decides to drop the protocols, the protocols will be dropped.

Well, that's two of you who would be wrong.

The NFL would be allowed to modify the protocols.  For instance, to no longer test asymptomatic, vaccinated players.  They would not be allowed by all the municipalities in which they play to eliminate all protocols whatsoever.

Because too many of them are testing positive and causing games to be canceled?  You'd rather not know who has COVID and is spreading it?  I thought this was about health?

Because asymptomatic, vaccinated people passing the virus to other vaccinated people is rare.

So rare that players on entirely vaccinated teams are all getting it individually & separately somehow, all at the same time, but not transmitting it to each other?

You'll get there.  For some people it just takes longer.

I have no idea how people are getting it.  I just know that the risk is lower with asymptomatic, vaccinated people.  I didn't say zero risk.  And other mitigation factors should take place (masking, distancing).

Again, this is how we dealt with it this semester at a residential college that was 80% vaccinated.  Surveillance testing of unvaccinated students was regularly less than 1% positive.  But everyone was required to be masked indoors regardless of status.  I don't see any reason why a football team can't take a similar approach and not have a major outbreak.

Imagine wearing a mask when fully vaxxed. People are broken. Good luck.

Well since we don't know who is vaccinated or not simply by looking at them, we require it of everyone. No one is broken. Pretty much common sense.

Responsible people have to make sacrifices for dumb people that won't get vaccinated.  It's called being selfless for the good of others.

The overwhelming majority of people wear masks because they (incorrectly) assume that it will protect themselves from the virus. They care very little about strangers around them.

Actually, as someone dealing with the public quite often, I can assure you this isn't true.  One of my clients installed a masked policy for his employees for the very reason of caring about the strangers that visit his establishment.  I also deal with a variety of other people masking despite having the booster.

As someone fully vaccinated, I choose not to wear a mask.  I don't care if people wear masks or for what reason.  Masking goes on in other parts of the world.  It's not accepted here by some for solely political reasons.  Quite frankly, less germs in the air is fine by me

100%. People will never see eye to eye on this. People squirt their pants whenever they think they can control other people. The reality is they hate their own miserable lives and want to drag everyone else down with them. This has been a golden opportunity for them and they cling to the idea of more lockdowns, more masks, total control, etc. Misery loves company and people are starting to realize this. People reading this will begin to get angry and smoke will come out of their ears. Speak a little truth and everyone loses their minds. Wish we could all get along but it just isn't to be. :(

WTF are you talking about? Very few people want universal masking. Even less want lockdowns.  I would guess that 99% of people just want this over.

Here in the UK, we don't care if anyone wears a mask or not. It's a mandate some places but nobody follows it because we know the difference between a law and a mandate, unlike the US. We don't like to tell people what to do. I thought that was what they did in America but I was wrong.

Idk if it's 99% of people but maybe a majority. We can agree on that.
