They aren't reaching. We are.

I guess we have gone back to blaming the ref mode here.

In all honesty, number 23 (Hepburn) for the Badgers is constantly reaching, often with his left hand completely crossing through and across the ball handler.

1st half was officiated fairly balanced. This half has been a bit of a joke.

But that isn't what is dictating the game right now. Davis is.

Davis is a great player. The badgers really don't have much else. He's really carried them.

Couldn't agree more.

MUEng92

Maybe it's an Opposite Day and the 1st half was MUs good half

GrimmReaper33

Johnny Davis is really good and we can't stop him.   1st legit NBA caliber player the Badgers have had since Kaminsky.

Reffs haven't been good but they're not the reason MU is behind.

We also can't make a shot other than JLew attacking the paint.

Those were huge momentum non calls.  The Refs have a home whistle at this point.  This will be tough sledding.

Yep.  The Lewis call was correct, but the charge before wasn't and they aren't remotely calling it even.  I don't think the refs have it out for Marquette, but it is more of the Madison home whistle BS we've seen against any team that enters the Kohl Center.

So many folks around here think pointing out bad officiating is "blaming the refs". There are lots of reasons MU is losing. The refs are one of them. There's nothing wrong with pointing that out.

Well that point of view is wrong. Refs aren't perfect but not close to a reason they are losing.

A well-guarded pull up 2 isn't the best option out of a time out.

At least you can blame the refs if they lose.  Happens a lot around here. The refs against MU theory. Most of the calls have been correct.

Blame turnovers, jacking up threes and Davis playing like first team all American.
Sorry, Davis has hooked and pushed off at least 3 times-no call. Lewis hooks once and he is called. Refs suck!!!

Davis is on a different level.

Nonsense. Refs have been fine. So maddening that people constantly take that point of view here.  It just isnt accurate.

I think Davis is the first player Wisconsin has had that has a shot to be a good NBA player since Devin Harris.

Just damage control at this point. Don't get blown out.

MuggsyB

I get the Zebra bashing but the fact is our guards are 4-23 and Davis has obviously been by far the best player on the floor.  We lost our composure for no reason whatsoever but we're not losing because of the refs.

So blowing that Lewis charge didn't cost MU 2 points? Lewis would have missed the resulting wide open dunk, or if called on WI we would miss all free throws resulting from being in the bonus earlier? Come on. Don't be this dense.

MU is down 13. Some of that is the refs. A lot of it is Davis being LeBron today. Part of it is MU being unable to shoot from the outside.

I changed the channel to NBA TV just in time to see Jae Crowder air ball a shot in a game replay of Suns vs. Warriors .  Fitting

The problem is you and others expect perfection. They aren't perfect.  But people see imperfection only when it doesn't benefit them.

They have been fine.

Turned this one off - first Shaka game I did this.  Too bad it had to come against Wisconsin.

Congrats to Johnny Davis for beating MU.  Any chance he goes pro this year?

Also, Morsell has disappeared.
