1.   I don't know that MU will have a consistent third scorer this year.    I know a lot of guys can bet buckets.
2.  OMP will eventually see his minutes taken by Joplin and Greg.    But I still like him long term.    Just not in the groove yet.
3.   Felt like the Illinois game in that both teams were working extremely hard.
4.  4th youngest team in D1.    "ooooh, they said freshmen and I disagree.... blahblahblah".   Semantics.  Bottom line, 4th youngest team.  The really amazing thing is that Coach Smart has them playing fearlessly.    Play aggressively and let the chips fall where they may.  If you miss, keep firing.
5.   Loved Kuath hitting a cutting Jones who got the lay up and the foul.    When everybody really gets dialed in, I expect a lot of weak side cuts.
6.  Like playing a mirror image.    Ole Miss shot a lot of threes, ran a lot of dribble drive, pressured on defense.
7.  The offense looks so much better when the threes fall.   Still felt like MU settled a little bit.
8.  A gamble leaving Kuath in the game after he picked up his 4th.    That block was sick.
9.  Nice to have an old guy like Morsell with the ball in his hands and going to the line late.
10.  It was interesting to see the combo on the end of the game protecting the lead.   Running a klear out for Kam?   Bold.
11.  Free throws matta
12.   A great win.    So much fun.

Nice Job, Xavier.    Represent.

Great win. It's already such a different feeling.

Props to Kam. Fearless.

JLew and Morsell need to be and have been rocks.

Looking forward to Greg coming back.

We are winning a tournament game this year.

F**k 5 years to judge. College basketball is about having leadership, grit, and an identity and we finally have all 3.

Several teams in the Big East will have major trouble with us.

PGsHeroes32

Still have no idea how things will go throughout the season.

But this team is damn fun.

Damn it - I was told this team was going to score in the 50's.

This is gonna be an enjoyable, and at times, frustrating, team to watch.

We needed an identity. I think we got one.

Group think at its finest.

IL Warrior

He hasn't shot well, but I think Kolek really adds a lot to the offense. His court vision and passing are better than we've seen at MU in a long time. He had 6 assists today and several other possessions where he put pressure on the defense. A welcome change from the stagnant offenses we saw the last several years.

Vander Blue Man Group

There's going to be a lot of ups and downs but can't wait to see how this team is playing come Feb/Mar.

Fred Garvin

I've had more fun watching this team, than I did all last year.

GoldenWarrior11

Shaka is worth every penny, including the buyout made to Wojo.

I don't know how many games we win this year, but the tangible progress and development is apparent.  And we are once again a team that opponents will dread playing.

Another fun gritty win.  Just outstanding.

StillWarriors

The absence of constant feet shuffling and lost dribbles is refreshing, even from the young guys.

Strangely, the shot clock beating long 3 by Lewis may have been just what he needed. No time to think and steer it and he got to see one go in. Sure enough, the hoop opened up.

Didn't like all the layups we gave up late protecting the lead, but the scoreless stretch while we went on the 10-0 run was reminiscent of the IL game. Nice to have that ability to lockdown.

It will interesting to see what kind of legs we have tomorrow with this style of play. Yes we are young, but it is still a demanding style. We do have some depth and it will be great to have Greg back. He would have been really useful tonight with baseline 3s, but we got it done regardless.

Great to see Morsell knock down free throws after struggling so badly last game from there.

Another great night for the Big East. Xavier looked great in knocking off Ohio State. They are very deep even with Freemantle out.

Man, this is what gets me pumped. Can you imagine a team in March trying to prep for MU? We would be the team no one wants to play. I know we're not even at Thanksgiving yet, just fun to think about.

The confidence that is being built right now is big.

Yup.

And guys like Jones already got a lot of it.

When the raw talent for a lot of these young guys develops into stability it's gonna be a lot of fun over the coming years

Tenacious and fearless.  The freshmen are tough and go at it.   Such a fun team to watch !  Morsell is such a leader out there.   Love it.  Go Marquette!

Frenns Liquor Depot

We went from popping balloons and punching white boards to writing down our deflections on the white board and winning.

Seems sound.

This MU team...might be good?

They'll never give up. Shaka is doing an amazing job so far. Losing themselves in the fight is right
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Our HC is now responsible for two big wins already this season.

I used that reference to my wife during the Illinois game.
