I love Mr. Morsell

This dude is a throwback player.  Super polished and developing as a true leader we have desperately needed.  Did anyone forsee him being this good?

You did early on while we were still romancing him to transfer. Kudos Muggs.

I am impressed by how flexible his game is.  At Maryland his scoring took second fiddle to defense and all around play.  Now when MU needs his scoring it seems like he is quite possibly up to the challenge.  Seems like the ultimate college basketball player who plays with passion and appreciation.

Morsell reminds me a little bit of DJO. Probably not as much of a pure scorer, but better ball handler and defender.

I see a lot more Jerel McNeal in him than DJO.  Looks a bit like a taller McNeal and his game is more similar.

Agreed.  He's a little bigger than Jerel and a a bit smoother with the rock.  DJO was an elite athlete and more explosive.

Bigger than Rel? Didn’t realize Morsell was that tall.

He's listed as 2 inches taller.  But these things can be wrong.  Someone on Scoop would know what's acceptable I would imagine.

From a career-trajectory standpoint, Darryl reminds me of Wes:

A breakout final season after spending years as a defense-minded guy who took a backseat to more acclaimed teammates.

Wes averaged 18 points as a senior after averaging 11 his first three seasons. And now Darryl is averaging 23 as a 5th-year senior after averaging 9 his first four seasons.

Wes also started out hot his last year, with 27, 26 and 25 his first three games.

He'll get some Big East POY votes, if not win it outright.

He looks great so far, and I agree with the comparison to Wes’ final season

Morsell could certainly be all - BE first team.

As a defender, he reminds me of Mandy Johnson. Thankfully, Morsell can dribble and shoot better than mandy.

Absolutely has a chance.  That’s why preseason all conference teams are useless especially in this age of immediately eligible transfers.
