The Illini might be down more than just Cockburn on Monday.

Illinois Fighting Illini guards Trent Frazier, Andre Curbelo and Austin Hutcherson all sat out Tuesday's game vs. Jackson State men's basketball due to injuries.

Big Ten Network broadcaster Kevin Kugler said Frazier is out due to a shoulder injury that he suffered in Illinois' exhibition game against Indiana (Pennsylvania) on Oct. 29.

Brian Barnhart said on the Illinois radio broadcast that Curbelo is in concussion protocol and that Hutcherson suffered a tailbone injury.

Curbelo, Frazier and Hutcherson were all wearing street clothes and on the Illini bench Tuesday night. Frazier and Curbelo were both expected to be starters for the Illini this season.

I hope they all recover as soon as possible . Never like to see kids hurt. Also I would rather see us play an opponent at their best .

I'm gonna disagree with you here because this team needs to gel Herman.  If we can get a W on Nov 15th it could pay dividends down the road.  A win versus a depleted Illini team is better than a loss from a pure resume standpoint.
