It isn't the mask mandate that suppresses attendance at most indoor events. It's the global pandemic that has already killed more Americans than the current population of Milwaukee.

Attendance was going to be down regardless of the mask policy.

And the mask policy exacerbates the problem.

It's had a huge impact on alumni memberships at the rec center and plex, too.  People started to join again when masks were no longer mandatory and when they put the hammer down, those same people wanted refunds

I love the scoopers who bitch about attendance at MUBB events…..and are the same ones who don’t renew their season tickets, pass on 5 packs, don’t go to any offered events themselves, etc.
If scoopers can go to MUBB events and chose not to (because that is your right!) then STFU.
Bitch and bitch and bitch that you want Wojo gone. Wojo’s gone…..you cancel your tickets….and now complain that ticket sales are down. If scoopers aren’t the first ones supporting this team….then quit your bitching because yes everything regarding MUBB will be less than your collective expectations.

Perfectly stated.

Anyone have any Intel on when single game tickets are going on sale?

I don't think Fiserv will have masks since it isn't on campus.

No requirement per the Bucks release today. But if you're in the first four rows you need proof of vax/negative test and will be masked.

I'm in the 4th row for MU.  If MU follows the Bucks' masking policy I'm going to request to have my season tickets moved back a row so I won't have to wear masks all season.  That's BS.

That’s an interesting one. Is the thought to keep the players safer due to the ramifications of a player testing positive?

An acquaintance has courtside seats and doesn't have a problem with the vax requirement but won't wear a mask, so he's contacting MU to see what they're going to do and will move back like you if there is a mandate.

What happens if there are no prime seats left to give in cases like this?

Don't those first rows have concierge service?  That may be more of the reason with the close contact with the service staff.

After reading more, it sounds like this is the NBA's policy for all arenas.

Interesting. I'm technically in row 2, but don't think there's any concierge service in my section and I'm pretty sure there are a few folding chair rows ahead of me.

For the Bucks, which is stupid because everything is free in the BMO Club.

Rows AAA, BBB, CCC, and DDD, so I think you'd be fine.

Don't know if MU will adopt this policy or not. Semi related... anyone know what time the open practice at Fiserv next week will be at?

Brew77, what's your personal feeling?  If you, in Row 2, are forced to wear a mask but the row behind you isn't, are you OK with that?

The rule that came out is from the NBA, not Fiserv Forum. MU haven't received any directive.

OK that's cool.  Mr. Nielsen, if you have any input with MU's decision-makers, please pass along my concerns that this would not be acceptable.

I'm already used to being places where I'm masked and few others are. Ultimately, they'll make decisions based off safety and as long as those are thought out, I'm good with it.

I was recently at an event on an Indian Reservation and per orders from The Chief we had to mask up.

So Marquette's gonna send Willie Wampum around to enforce the masking rule in the first four rows?  That should go over well.

Wear a Mask and we might consider going back to Warriors might get the whole stadium masked up.
