It's time to bring nicknames back
« on: August 22, 2021, 07:19:31 PM »
Al was well before my time but I love that a lot of our guys had badass nicknames.  Any ideas for the members of our crew this season ?  The last good n-name we had was "The Dancing Bear" for Davante.  I hope by Dec we have some decent suggestions.

“ Over time, people referring to "an eke name" was eventually morphed into "a nekename," which is where we get the word nickname. In Chaucer's Middle English, "eke" is usually translated as "also", so it would've been an "also name". “

So there we have it.  Any eke names or e-names by December?

Nicknames appear organically.    Charley Finley forced nicknames.

Maybe we should call someone "T-Bone".  That sounds like a good nickname.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.
