I realize that we missed a lot of open shots today but the 8 to 31 free throw attempts didnt help us either!

Not much love from the Zebras today, although we started out the second half with a 5-0 foul advantage if I remember correctly.

yeah, but their 6th was called when DJ was diving to floor for a loose ball with under 2 minutes to go...how is that possible.

We were outscored by 19 at the FT line today....aside from our missed layups...to me, that's the story of the game.

Are you freakin kidding me? Your telling me the refs didn't screw us at least some in that game? You should've listened to Crean in the postgame with Homer. By the way, how about that missed call where they said Hayward kicked the ball towards the end of the game. They should've checked the monitor at least. That was just one HUGE blown call that we didn't get. I won't go into anymore because it's just too frustrating right now, but that game was poorly officiated. There's no other way to put it.

Anytime you have that big of a discrepancy...

...the officials did not call an even game, or

...Marquette attempting 3 pointers instead of drawing fouls might have helped create the discrepancy, or

...the converse, working Harangody and Co. down low helped produce contact (read: fouls).

We screwed ourselves much more then the refs did with all of our missed layups.  You say that one kick call was big but if i remember correctly ND came down shot a quick 3 and missed it.  Therefore the net result of that blown call was 10 seconds we lost out on (i know that we could have used those down the strech, but its only 10 seconds).  What we could have used more then the refs was finished near the basket.  You point out the kick call, well how about the wide open layup McNeal missed with 3 min to go or the 4 that Ouse missed.  How about the one right before the half for harangody, that should have never happened.  Were these refs the greatest ? no.  But we need to point the fingers at ourselves for this one and not the zebra's.
