Who is the best outside the top 100 recruit Marquette has ever landed?  I'm not including transfers or JUCOS.  I realize that back in the day they didn't really have a top 100 but  I think you catch my drift.

I had him in mind Galway.  I'm a big Davante fan despite his defensive limitations.

Tony smith or Tony Miller.....not sure about their rankings, but I think they were not top 100, coming out of high school.  Amal as well...

Where was Smith out of curiosity?  He was my fav player as a little kid.  It's a real shame he had no help whatsoever.

Was Novak top 100?  Hard to find old rankings - guess we need to archive those.

Was Lazar top 100?
Yep, though with the caveat he was a 5th year guy.  In any event, he was a touted recruit as TC noted often.

Lazar was my first thought but looks like he was in the 80 range.

I thought Novak was and it looks like Hayward was as well.

MacGaskill (sp) average 4 pts in high school and became an NBA player.
Another O'Neal recruit, who also became an NBA player would be Chris Crawford

Novak was 57 in 2002.

They can be found on sports-reference.com.

I will add them to muoverload.com.

Great call Bilsu.  I knew we had to be missing someone.

What rankings are we using? Fox Sports had Wade 48 at the end of his senior year of HS.

One vote for Hutch.

Oh....I thought Wade was just outside the top 100.

Any idea where Chris Crawford was in hs?

Lots and lots of high major coaches knew very well who Wade was and would have loved to have had him for their programs.

I meant ranking wise.  Did anyone foresee him playing NBA ball?
