Question. I haven't been to Oregon, WI but I sorta chuckled with the pronunciation, & curious... Were there any eye rolls there with the "Ore-GONE" instead of "Ore-gin"?!? Or do people from Oregon WI just not see eye to eye with people from the state?

Not sure about all of that, but, if Smart can win at or close to a Buzz like level, Regular Season Big Title, 3 NCAA Tourney 2nd weekends, etc...in his first five seasons at MUBB, he'll be embraced by many.

Shaka is the real deal. Marquette needed more than an experienced coach who would run a clean program. We needed a guy who understands and commits to the big picture, about what Marquette is all about. After 7 years of a guy who never truly left Duke, what a refreshing change.

Thanks for this! I probs would've assumed differently if Shaka weren't so clearly far more intelligent & composed than me (that he must've pronounced in the accepted way).

I lived in west Madison for 2 years & I genuinely didn't know Oregon WI existed until Shaka's hiring...
