Now that we have a new coach and the University is updating our seal I think its time for an updated fight song.

As a Warrior I always felt we could do better than Ring out Ahoya. To be honest it is kind of lame next to the ND victory march or On Wisconsin.

Just my take.

Johnny B

a side note. i like ACDC but its really time to change that too lol

I'm PRAYING, f-ing BEGGING, that this will be the end of Where the Streets Have No Name.  It was great when it started and for years after, but it's just a buzzkill now and hyped up nobody.  Going from booming hip hop into a quiet build into a song that the team has no emotion for was anticlimactic

TallTitan34

All fight songs sound the same.

Disagree. I was sitting next to some Cincinnati fans at the Bradley Center way back in our GreatMidwest days, and they have a really cool fight song, yet they thought RingOutAhoya was very unique and cool.

For an intro song, I would like to see something like Biggie's version of Eminence Front.
Zenyatta has a lot....a lot... of ground to make up. She gets there from here she'd be a super horse......what's this.....Zenyatta hooked to the grandstand side....Zenyatta flying on the outside....this....is...un-belieeeeeevable!...looked impossible at the top of the stretch...

This I once was trying to learn the MU fight song on the bagpipes by hearing it and accidentally played the ND fight song. Remarkably similar

Ring Out Ahoya is awesome and should never change. Anything is fair game.

I don't even know what fight song is.....

But if they are going to scrap it.....

Get rid of the lame A$$ Golden Eagles name too.....

Not that 2 other Div 1 schools have the same nick......Really????

At least Ring Out Ahoya was a great drinking song.....

Goose

I love Ring Out Ahoya and hope they never change it. Looking forward to returning to FF and giving my support to MU.

When I was in law school at U of I in the 70's the local radio station played a medley of the beginning of every Big Ten fight song on Saturday mornings during football seasons. For many years I remembered them, but honestly the only decent one in there was Michigan's.
Ring out Ahoya is just fine.

Hey, you're on to something here! Screw the pep band schtick. Have about 40 pipers at the home games playing the fight song or anything else for that matter.  Marquette will adjust to the pipers playing but the visiting teams will never come back out onto the court for the 2nd half. We will have the nations' longest home win streak. Who cares if it comes from forfeits?

Actually, I like bagpipes but I couldn't resist. This was too easy.
Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

What's truly awful is that hail alma matter school song pile of crap. That thing can go immediately.

a piper at the games would be fantastic.

Love Ring Out Ahoya.

The talk of intro song has me excited to see then fan reception for that first game. Our coach is going to get loudly cheered instead of booed this year. I really think student engagement is going to go up next year. I think there will be a buzz around Shaka.
