I'd comment on "another thread".  But nobody cares. lol.

Da 'Lanche

1.Bielein..and I would even commit to hiring his son as "coach in waiting".  If the system doesn't work, you can go another direction when the senior B retires.  If it works, you have long term continuity.

2.  Smart.  Let him reboot at a basketball only school and re establish his VCU style of play.  Plus, I think his recruits could follow him and we may retain some of our roster.

3.  Porter...let's see if he can translate his success to the big East...really impressed with his coaching chops.

4.  Gates.  Would love to see us get someone on the rise with experience, prior connection to the university and someone who can recruit the Chicago market.

5.  Archie Miller.  Redemption time after failing at IU.

6.  The grab bag...pick any from Drake, Winthrop, UCSB, etc.

No wardle.

Normally, I don't get my undies in a twist over redundant threads.

But c'mon guys, there's already a thread with this exact premise:

I noticed that we didn't have a thread captioned, "Identify Your Top Few Picks To Be the Next MU Head Coach".  I think such a thread is sorely needed at this pivotal time in MU's history.

Patrick will likely be a very good coach. Look into why John is trying to bring him along as AC though, and you'll understand why it will not happen at MU. I hope he gets another chance eventually, but it cannot & will not be at MU. Hence, John will not be here either.
