Gtown v MU / end of year
« on: March 13, 2021, 06:45:07 PM »
So ... they both have lousy years.
Finish 8/9 in BE ...

MU is not prepared/ plays worst game of year and gets crushed on Wednesday

Meanwhile,  GTOWN well on their way to winning 4 games in 4 days to win the
BET.   So as bad as Ewing has been for the last few years, they too have passed
MU.

How is this possible?  MU must have been soooo “ tired “ ... and the ‘Rona only affected them ... and on and on

Anyone think Lovell is even paying attention?

We're in a world of hurt right now and there's no way to sugarcoat how bad it truly has become.  It's tragic and something must be done.  Immediately.

I think we should start another topic saying the same damn thing as two dozen others on here.

We'd be glad to talk about anything else Marquette basketball but we're part of the last 4 out of the Vegas 16.

Wojo’s comments at the end of the season breeds a losers mentality. Excuses abound which have probably been floating around the program all year.

How about 8 straight years without a NCAA tourney win?

You’re right
Wojo had excuse after excuse all year.

And he sounded like a loser after the
GT game

How about Marquette has never played Saturday night in BET. Creighton has played what, 3 times and has been in the BE fewer years than us.

They would've needed to do a lot more than showing up Wednesday. No way we get by Nova.

This is pretty uncalled for, but hey, it’s understandable that you’re butt hurt about Wojo not working out.  Must be tough to be so aggressively wrong for such a long period.

I think we should start another topic saying the same damn thing as two dozen others on here.

It’s the only topic worth talking about in relation to MUBB doofus.  Maybe you should start a thread to reminisce about the tremendous UNC victory that you were so thrilled about.

Point is...GTown has very similar parallels to MU, so why not MU in these situations?
GTown able to capture a BET title and MU has never been able to do so.

Patrick Ewing has now accomplished more in 4 days than Wojo has in 7 years.

This is absolutely unacceptable performance and should be unacceptable to any MU fan. Wojo-Dukiet has taken the program to terrible depths and must go. This is painfully obvious

Why does Greg gard have a buyout of 1 million and wojo has a buyout multiple times that number?

Likely because Alvarez always wanted to be in position to get rid of Gard, who wasn't his first choice anyway.

It is all rather simple. Ewing, for all his faults, for all his heavy handedness causing significant player turnover, got his team to play with an edge, at the right time, especially on defense and on the boards.

When was the last time, if ever, that a Wojo team played with an attitude and a hard edge?

As Leo Durocher said, "nice guys finish last." Neither Al, nor Buzz, were nice
guys.
