This board seems pretty quiet re: game tonight. Wonder what that's a symptom of.

The Arby's drive-thru is spectacular!

From Paint Touches, so I cannot take any credit:

MU since 2019 in BEAST play

16-7 in first meetings
7-16 in 2nd meetings

And from Anonymous Eagle:

five opponents

1st time: 3-2
2nd time: 0-5

avg. scoring margin 1st time: -1.4
avg. scoring margin 2nd time: -10.4

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I'll watch the whole thing, beginning to end, as will a lot of Scoopers (even some who won't admit it).

Gonna be a W for MU.

Playing soccer instead.  Better use of my time.

oldwarrior81

Most of the professional oddsmakers have Butler as a 2 or 2.5 favorite.

the O/U is less than 130 total points scored.

I can't think of a bigger waste of time.  Enjoy your "nil-nil draw!"  One point in the standings!

Sorry, had to.

That's not the case for all of "we."

I'll be watching because I'm a fan, and pulling for my alma mater when they play is what I do.

I'll be there in person.

Any messages I should pass on to the coaching staff or players?

Pomeroy has MU losing by 1.  Haslam has MU a victor by half a point, maybe in OT. I sense a MU victory for the Woj, going away.

A nice stat preview by Haslam.

Thanks for that, doctor. Wasn't aware of that site but I like it. Guy's from MKE. Too bad had spent some time as a rodent. He had some interesting stuff on his game eval - I was not aware that we are 327th in rate of FG attempts (presumably due to slow pace, and losing the ball before getting off a shot). We're also 281st in allowing quick points off steals (all the weak passes on top come into my mind, like a QB throwing a lazy pass in the flat for a pick-six).

I'll definitely be revisiting his site.

As will I, and bringing three friends. Should be interesting, and perhaps painful.

Yes! Tell the staff that one of them has to go because the Bruce Weber assistant coach train is on its way! Hello Final Four!

It's been a long time since I've had so little interest in MU basketball.

I expect MU to win this game.   You never know what could happen in the BET..

I feel like this should be Depaul Basketball's slogan
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Those of you watching are better fans than me.  However, I'm guessing I'm much more representative of the majority of the fan base.  Not watching, don't care, haven't watched a game in weeks, barely aware of when they have a game.   This is a bad sign for the program.  If there are others like me who used to get really excited for every game but now barely pay attention, then  the Wojo era has done a whole lot of damage to the University.

This team definitely looked the part for a few games earlier this season.  I'd love to see them get a W tonight, get healthy over the 10 day break, find a way to get 3 of the last 4 and go into the BET playing well.  Its all a long shot, but its all I got left to look forward to sports-wise until Opening Day...so what the heck.

Well if this is indeed true for a lot of the alumni base, it's sad. Not surprising, but sad. I find myself unable to not watch, it's too much a part of me - but lately, I'm also watching because I figure it will cut down on my purgatory time.

For those of you who'll be there in person, how did you get tickets for the game?  Were they available to the general public?  Apologies if I missed this in a different thread.
