Am an independent and Not that it matters much but my MU friend was out to dinner with one of Biden's Sons,  can not remember if it was Beau or Hunter,  and they were planning Obama's Exit from Grant Park for his Victory speech in 2008. At least that is what my MU friend told me. My friend these days is a staunch Republican haha.

Biden has said in the last that he is a Packer fan, because the Norbertine monk who ran his Catholic boys school would let them out early on Mondays after Packer victories.  Not sure that fandom stretches to all Wisconsin sports though.

I'd be shocked if a blue/gold tie wasn't at least somewhat intentional in Milwaukee, even if it was a staffer's suggestion and not Biden's.

As another poster said, it's a Brewers tie if it's anything at all.  Most people in Wisconsin root for the Badgers.  The only people who really root for Marquette either went there or have family ties to the school.
