Opts out rest of the season at Duke.

Projected top 5 kid at start of the season. Now in middle to late first round

Dudes had a problem with sticking with decisions.

Wonder if that giraffe masquerading as Jack White will be the next one to go.

Just a variation of the old 'first round pick playing in a meaningless bowl game' issue.

He isn't coming back.  Duke isn't going anywhere.   Getting ready for the draft.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Sure, if it was the first time he was leaving a team early that'd make some sense.  But he left Sun Prairie early to make a superteam at Nicolet, then left Nicolet to play at a prep school in Florida, then quit the Florida prep school team, and is now quitting Duke.

GooooMarquette

Sounds like a wonderful teammate.

I still see him projected as a lottery pick.

College basketball will just be so much better off when the 1 and done rule is gone.  What is the point?

Jalen certainly has a trend of quitting on his teams.  Who knows how much of it is himself or his "camp."  I get a kick out of his "camp" of family, AAU handlers/coaches reportedly being unhappy with Coach K, like Coach K doesn't know what he's doing or how to coach.  And I say that as someone who absolutely hates Coach K.

Doesn't matter though, the NBA cares about talent only and he'll be a lottery pick.

He might have read Scoop and learned Coach K isn't a good coach.

I don't think this will impact him in the NBA in a vacuum. It may give some teams pause based on how he jumped high schools a bit, but I don't know that an NBA GM would care too much.

with three weeks left in the season that's not opting out... that is quitting.  A lot of smoke out there if you know what I mean regarding why he was sent home from IMG and now what happened at Duke.

Duke "Insiders" flipping their all knowing crystal ball picks from Duke to UWM for Jalen's former AAU teammate, Patrick Baldwin, Jr.

I haven't heard any of this...is smoke the key to this riddle?
