Figured there should be a place on this site for some positivity. Especially between the pandemic, protests, riots, slow vaccinations, politics to an unhealthy degree etc.

After several years of increases, my real estate taxes are actually going down by a couple hundred dollars this year.

1/20/21 was a great day for this world. And moves are being made quickly since.

Amen.

Her work reminded me of this year's America's Got Talent winner, Brandon Leake.  He was awesome too.

Ha, you are lucky.  Mine have gone up every year, and I doubt they will plateau anytime soon.

My 2021 car insurance dropped $200+ per month.  No idea if it's no claims in 2020 or the pandemic or something like my younger daughter turning 18 next month or all the above.

Yeah, it came as a huge surprise. In 20+ years living in the same house, my taxes have increased every year until now. And with local governments strapped for cash, I thought for sure the trend would continue.

My Dad who is 79 and has some health issues finally has an appointment to get his first Covid shot on Friday in Ohio.  My Mom is just under 75 so she's not eligible until the next round in Ohio - hoping she can get hers soon too.

I am on the last week of my one day a week furlough and my salary reduction is being reversed. Though I will miss the three day weekends.

After being laid off in mid November, I received a solid job offer this afternoon.

I’d been pretty bummed out the last couple months, was having a great year, and my entire team got obliterated from the company I used to work for. Between being let go right before the holidays, the world with Covid, winter seasonal disorder...it was really difficult mentally if I’m being honest.

Job offer (that I’m accepting) is for a company I previously worked for, in the same role I had before. I had good success there previously and am hopeful I can duplicate it again.

I love this board, you guys/gals all have different opinions/takes, and what makes us different makes this a great place to interact. Stay healthy everyone and cheers to you all.
