Putting people on ignore
« on: January 06, 2021, 05:18:13 AM »
Sorry this is something I don’t know how to do.  Can someone walk me through the steps? Thanks in advance.

Profile.....   Buddies/Ignore list
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

I have a few on ignore, but it takes dicipline to not read what they say.
My ignore list has the most prolific people, it's a dilemma.
Then others quote them, so there you are again reading the comment.
Most of the snarky ad hominem attackers have left.  There are better outlets for their bile.

Yep.   Many have moved on to Parler tricks.

I basically just read the recruiting thread because this board has become an attack each other and drone on about non basketball things board. It’s the eventual evolution of many boards unfortunately. I’ve been here for a long time and used to read a lot and comment very very sparingly. Now I only venture to threads once in a blue moon only to be reminded of why I stick to the recruiting thread for the most part.

Alternatively, post this to the top of every forum...

EDIT: It already is. Rocky, maybe add the word "Ignore" to the welcome thread?

Is there an SMF plugin that would bring back the "ignore" button on individual posts?

That would be helpful.  Never should have been changed in the first place.

I also liked the feature where you could see how many people were ignoring specific posters.  That was entertaining.
