Which is now roughly 50% of the U.S. population.

That"s absurd, of course. And usually it's multiple, not just one, anyway. But other than age, a whole lot of the people with co-morbidities have them due to their own bad choices. I'm told that we shouldn't sweat those folks all that much.

"Article Summary Line Overall, 45.4% of US adults were estimated to be at heightened risk of COVID-19 complications due to co-morbidities, increasing from 19.8% for ages 18-29 years to 80.7% for ages 80+ years, with state-to-state variation."

Since when is 45.4% of adults 50% of the population?

You moved your own goalposts. LOL.

"Which is now roughly 50% of the U.S. population." And the figure doesn't include immunocompromised.

Goodness, you've become quite a caricature.

YOUR link doesn't say "roughly 50% of the U.S. population" anywhere I see. Those are your words. Your link says 45.4% of the ADULT population in the U.S., which comes to 35.1% of the U.S. (total) population. 35.1% is not roughly 50%.

I suggest that everyone keep their eyes open to a new variant that is just getting legs and not talking about Eris. Israel is ground zero at the moment.

I am not a covid alarmist by any stretch. From I have heard/read this strain may have potential to be more troublesome than past variants. I have not thought about covid one time in a very long time, but this caught my attention.

What? RFK Jr's theory that Covid was configured in the lab to spare Jews might have holes in it? Or maybe it's that only the 27% of Israel residents who aren't Jewish are being hit by this new strain.

Yes. The guy was so into chasing the buck that he worked for the federal government for most of his career. ::)

One would think after being consistently wrong on Covid pretty much from the very beginning, that it would cause you to be self-reflective about how you received your information on the topic. But that would require a level of self-awareness and intelligence that you apparently don't possess.

How can you be self-reflective when you only seek out what you want to hear?

He tried to save lives.  He pushed science, prudence, and logic at every turn. Science was ignored, snake oil was pimped by hucksters and grifters, and Facebook was listened to over science and logic.
