My wife and I have a 7th grader, a 4th grader & a 2nd grader. Friday night at dinner was all about Mayfair.  It became an enlightening conversation on how each kids' classroom prepares for a school shooting.  I was impressed by the pragmatic approach. Sure they were somewhat scared but no more so than I was of tornado drills.  I'm always impressed by how resilient kids are about things adults freak out about.
