Obviously not Eddie Van Halen in terms of national recognition, but a big part of the Chicago rock and national punk scene in the 80s and 90s.

First time I broke my nose was in the pit at the original riot fest (indoors & before rap, metal and pop punk took it over) during Naked Raygun's reunion show when they played rat patrol. Still made it through the rest of the show bleeding like crazy lmao. Certainly more influential on me personally than Van Halen ever was.

RIP.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Loved all of it.

Fun fact:  The name "Naked Raygun" was a pun on the most popular punk band of the 70's "Sex Pistols."

Being at MU during the 90s, my roommate and buddies from our dorm were going to a lot of punk rock shows at the Rave/Eagles. I was a big Pegboy fan and of course got into NR as well. Saw Raygun at Turner hall in MKE a few years back, Pierre joined them on stage for a little bit, but you could tell he was really struggling. RIP Pierre!
