It is worth noting that Borg won 6 French and 5 Wimbledons, 3-peating twice, when these tournaments were 2 or 3 weeks apart.  He's before my time but that's absolutely insane in any era.

No. Her game sucks on grass. When she's not playing 100% she can't use her fitness and game to junk up and extend points like she does on clay. It's too fast and low bouncing of a surface.

Unless she's hitting winners she's gonna crap put before the late rounds in the grass major when she comes up against a flatter power player.

I didn't sse the match but was surprised.  Norrie has struggled mightily the last few years.  Fritz has a great draw to get to the semis.

What a massive win for Cilic.  This guy has been a great player for a long time but has had a bunch of knee surgeries in recent years.  I can't recall a Wimbledon where so many seeds have been taken out, in both draws, before the 3rd rd.

Sinner has figured out how to move on grass.  He's just rolling his early opponents.  The guy is ridiculously consistent with crazy power.  And the thing is he has a lot of margin for error with his ball height over the net.  Alcaraz is going to have to play much better than his first 3 matches to beat him if they meet in the Final. 

I actually think Shelton has a small chance with his thunderous serve and zipping forehand.  And Djokovic is always a threat.  These courts are definitely playing slow for grass.  Part of it is the ball fluff but the court is also slower.  I don't know if they're exaggerating but all the older players confirm this speed difference.  It makes what Borg did pretty remarkable.

Alcaraz decided to go FMM (Full Medieval Mode), on his serve today.  He doesn't seem to have much of a problem kicking it up to the 135 mph range.  I wonder how he gets so much pop?  He's 5'11, not 6'0.

Sinner was clearly not right today. Maybe he pulls it together but a fireballer right after how he was handling Dmitrov is probably not a great matchup for him
