This is NOT a general politics board
« on: June 25, 2020, 11:53:59 AM »
Dead people really made out on this whole stimulus thing.

WASHINGTON — The government’s fiscal watchdog said Thursday that $1.4 billion in stimulus payments were sent to roughly 1.1 million people who had already died, bypassing IRS procedures put in place seven years to ago to prevent such improper payments.

https://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/2020/06/25/irs-sent-14b-in-stimulus-payments-to-11m-dead-people-mostly-after-trump-called-snafus-a-tiny-problem/

Just saw this story on Fox Business.

Can you just imagine what our "businessman president" would be twatting if this happened on the watch of any other president, especially the Kenyan Muslim? Wow!

Out of curiosity, before you hit the "Post" button, do you reread what you have typed?  I know self quarantine yourself often from these threads, but yeesh man, what does your post attempt to accomplish?  Just trying to upset the Trumpers?  They've left mostly... soooooooooooo...

I dunno man.

I thought it was funny. Sorry to hurt your sensibilities.

I'm not offended, I'm just wondering what the point is.  It's hard to have a conversation if we're being antagonistic.

Mike Pence leader of White House task force, tours Lordstown Motors, Lordstown, Ohio. Not a single person wearing a mask including Pence.

Covid ended on Memorial Day. Why wear a mask now?

and we need more time per patient for temp taking, paperwork/consent forms, extra room disinfection.  they did however, drop the 15 minute mini quarantine of  rooms which had aerosol producing procedures
Can't you just skip all that, and skip the PPE, and explain to patients that you are a "healthcare professional" and you are taking HCQ so there is nothing to worry about?
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

The only time he talks about the virus that has killed 120K+ and caused serious life-long medical conditions in who knows how many more on his watch is when he mocks it and/or uses racist words to describe it. In other words ...

Right now I'm most focused on America's main racist -- the one who has actual power here and now, in 2020, and who has royally screwed the pooch on the only two crises he has faced.

But you are free to worry about somebody who hasn't been a factor for decades.

I guess it's just an interesting coincidence that the terrible racist you're most concerned about happens to be black, even if you had to go back to the '80s to dig him up, hey?

Feel free.

I think the point is for 5 years now we’ve been told by the MAGAs not to worry about what Donald Trump is saying, he doesn’t actually mean it he’s just a very sarcastic guy. :o  He puts America first so regardless of whether he makes fun of the handicapped, calls Neo-Nazis very good people but looters thugs he’s going to shoot, raping women (just locker room talk that was in private, don’t worry about it), or any other absolutely asinine thing, for 5 years it’s “ignore what he says you’re missing the point!” Now suddenly someone misspeaks and it’s, “holy sh!t sleepy Joe is incoherent listen to what he just said!”

Which is it?

If they wouldn't cut off his statement, he corrects himself immediately with 120,000 deaths.

The current guy thinks the year is 220.

Which is fitting since he also thinks he’s the emperor.

Right now I'm most focused on America's main racist -- the one who has actual power

Candidate A - authored the infamous crime bill that resulted in mass arrests, convictions and racist sentencing guidelines that destroyed thousands of black families and made career criminal out of young men often engaged iN only minor crimes. Also became a staunch ally of the Black community’s favorite Senator, the honorable Jesse Helms, fighting efforts to desegregate schools. There’s more, just do a simple google search.

Candidate B - spearheaded and signed the first real prison reform bill in my memory. Freed thousands, changed racist sentencing laws still in place.

Which racist are you more afraid of?
