They won going away.

uhh no we didnt lol. 17 went to 2 during the Elam.

Not that it has anything to do with the point at hand anyways.

TBT is not college basketball and Wilson was assigned to Mason that was obvious

Yet you referenced two college coaches who started Derrick Wilson........during their worst seasons as coaches at MU.

Ha, that is 3 coaches starting him at some point. So 3 coaches are wrong. If you didn't notice he was there to stop Mason, who was the heart of that offense, and he did. When it was not him it was DJO 2nd half but it took away his offense. Good coaching

2 coaches were very wrong. Derrick is decent with this lineup. Don't be dumb. Just remember the 4v5....

You were talking about Mason's offense in college. I'm talking about coaches starting a player. But any way you're like Sand with Luke. Anyway unless there is a matchup like today I don't think he starts Friday. Just good coaching. As for the cold start I expected that, our first game and going against a team that had a huge come from behind win.

I don't mind Derrick, what I really don't like is Derrick and Acker on the floor at the same time. Put in Charlo, Fisch, or DJO instead of one of those two.

Oh, and no more twin towers lineup of Charlo and Fischer please.

GoldenDieners32

Maybe i just haven't read it, but how is Charlo connected to MU? played solid minutes when he was in there today

Also I watched every college game Nate Mason ever played. Not exactly a model of consistency

Not agreeing at all with your Derrick Wilson hate, but doubling down on your point by trashing the opponent is hella funny to me.  I never post but felt you deserve props for that one.  Hella funny, that's why I read scoop.

We won going away.  Your obsession over who started the game is dumb.

Derrick really is a glue guy, who really defends, love his tenacity.  Sets a tone on D.  Offensively, he scored 19 a game in Sweden, now that is hard to believe.  Knows
his game, does not force any O, reminds me of how Bill Neary did the little things in '77, lots of scorers on this team.  Surprised Rowsey did not play, anybody know
why?

I liked the Elam ending, but now with every team comfortable and experienced with it, it's started to suck. It goes into effect way too early in the 4th quarter, and those first 5 minutes because anti-basketball as teams slow down and leading teams do anything to protect a lead

This the numbers guy who thought he was inventing a clever way to make this sport be high energy from start to finish didn't account that people will always figure out a way to slow down and game the system.

Yup. This is what I said from the start. Instead of the last 2 minutes potentially being a foul fest and clock drain you make it the last 10 minutes of a game.

There's still a shot clock. It's not like they're playing 4 corners at the start of the 4th quarter.

Elam Ending has always been terrible and that's been exacerbated by the fact that all off ball fouls are one free throw and the ball back.

Did you watch the game MU played in last night?  That's basically exactly what they did.  Go into 4 corners, drain the shot clock, run a high pick and roll.  For the entire 4th quarter.  Opponent made a little meaningless run, MU was never losing that game.

Yes. But CP3 was forced to play defense instead of fouling. And they played good defense to make their run that did make it uncomfortable for a quick moment. They trapped for turnovers, forced tough first shots. They simply gave MU too many offensive rebounds down the stretch. Led to the 5 pt possession that put it back out of reach and the game winner.

It's a 30 second shot clock. With roughly 5 min of game time before the Elam starts. You can limit your opponent to like 6 possessions if you play it right. Just watch the pacing. The Mackey-Boehim game today got moving, got to that 42ish point per quarter pace and I think they scored 15 in the 4th before the Elam, and that's including a 3 pt play at 3:59. It was awful. And it's happened in most games I've watched unless it's an up and down game that stays within a possession or two the whole game

All the evidence you need is that each game has went to the ending before the 3:55 mark. Teams eagle eye the clock for the final minute and foul immediately to whoever's benefit.

Interesting tweet from Duane Wilson:

Pretty clear message to anyone insinuating he's supportive of the TBT team.

This is the stuff HermanCain gets off to. Pretends he was on official visits, talked to former coaches of players who transferred here, or has inside info on the hate a former player has for the program and then someone has to actually address the complete BS and he gets all excited that it's actually been heard.
