Big hit today:

Indy 500 postponed until August 23.

Grand Prix of Indy postponed until July 4. This will coincide with a NASCAR race same day. Also, Florida-Georgia Line festival is at the track too. That could be a really fun day.

Indiana will begin to allow elective surgeries starting Monday as it looks like hospitals have available beds/PPE.

Regardless of what Gov Holcomb decides, Indy mayor decided to extend Marion county stay at home order to may 15.

That could create some serious conflict with commuters, businesses, etc.

We'll have to see what Holcomb announces tomorrow

Indiana timeline, assuming everything proceeds as outlined, will allow sports/concerts/festivals without restrictions beginning July 4

I think it's ridiculous that churches are exempt from restrictions

Seems... ambitious to me. Is that the right word?

Because they were being persecuted by being singled out for closure.

Along with businesses, sports, schools, hotels, amusement parks, beaches, etc.

Indiana: the florida of the midwest.

More like the Mississippi of the Midwest - only a bit more racist and crazy.

Indiana was set for full open on July 4.

However, governor announced today that we'd be delaying by 2 weeks. No further opening at this time. Re-evaluate 2 weeks after July 4 celebrations due to increases within the state.

Seems smart. Some people are PISSED

Avon School District went back today. We'll see how long that lasts.

Our governor made a few statements yesterday. He understands people's fears about voting in person due to the virus. However, he is against mail-in voting as a replacement.

Instead, he supports early voting to avoid having to vote with the large crowds...which is done, in part, through the mail.

Indianapolis' largest hospital re-opened the Covid unit over the weekend. It's already full.

Indiana is a wreck

Schools shut down. Hospital elective surgeries halted (but outpatient surgery centers can stay open...what?). Bars/restaurants still open.

Why oh why didn't my parents buy a massive lake house or mountainside retreat years ago so I could escape Indiana and winter there until everything cools down? Major blunder on their part, imo
