Dr. Blackheart

I am so hard up for sports, I have NASCAR reruns on the TV running where the BET games should be. Run the show, please.

Would be nice to do just to recognize the teams. What else are coaches going to do now that they've been banned from even recruiting?

Recruit HARDER

GooooMarquette

If they are going to release anything, they should release the full list that includes all small conference champions, plus all teams the committee thinks were "on the bubble." That would end up being more than 68, but since you never know how "bubble" teams were going to do in their conference tournaments, give them the benefit of the doubt.

After all, if we're gonna give kids the benefit of hearing their team called out as recognition for a job well done, we should also avoid unnecessarily breaking the heart of kids on teams that earned their way to the bubble, but didn't have the opportunity to get over the top with a win or two in a conference tournament.

And please, please don't give seeds or "matchups" for a tournament that will never be played.

auburnmarquette

Agreed - a "could have played their way even without winning conference tourney" type of bubble.

I wonder how many, if any, coaches have a contract that gives them a bonus if they make the NCAA tournament.

Coaches need to coach and let others manage the rest of this.

Not sure why this should be the case. Genius is genius.

Why, I let Leonardo DiCaprio guide many, if not most, of our investment decisions on renewable energy technology and projects.

Not that it's a surprise, but the NCAA officially announced they will not be releasing a bracket this year. Personally, I thought it would have been a nice touch to do so but in the end it wouldn't have made much difference.

Though, it would have given a bit of closure to the season as well as something to talk about given the lack of games.

Ditto.
And with no sports for a few weeks it would have at least provided something to talk about for a few days.

How could they have done this?

They would have needed to know who won each conference tournament.

Just use regular season winners.

Right.  It would only have been a theoretical excercise anyway.

Most conferences were announcing the auto bid went to the regular season champ. That's what I did with my bracket. I don't believe any top seeds were knocked out prior to Thursday in tournaments that weren't decided.
