... and his defense.  but the last 2 years, he is the ONLY SHOOTER on this team that routinely FOLLOWS HIS SHOT.  Jerel, Wes, and especially Dominic shoot and watch their shot.  Dan at least put up the shot, and it flying right to the ball if it's off target.

Are you kidding me...first off, if you are shooting a 3 pointer many coaches tell you not to follow you shot but rather get back because missed threes often lead to long rebounds and fast breaks.  He finally gets one rebound from "following his shot" and you get all geeked out about it.

Here's is what I say about fitz, he's awful....a streak shooter, I say if he misses his first two shots don't even bother putting him back in.

I'll say he's a poor man's Steve Novak, but a hundred times worse. 7min today, 0-3 from 3, 1 rebound.  We are a better team without him in the game.  We were 5-0 with some big wins when he was injured.  I'd rather have Chrisopherson in there any day, hit a big three today.

I just want to say when Fitz makes his shots, I dont want to hear you three comment on him.  Christopherson is not a better option than fitz cause scott still needs to work on his defense.  Watch Dan get hot against LOU!

And yet it appears you love Brian Barone.

Fitz hasn't found his shot, which is what we really need from him, but, to his credit, he has been aggressive on defense and in rebounding. Let's hope he finds that stroke Monday.

Daniel

Fitz has upped his defensive paly this year for sure - he is much more aggressive than ever, and he has had some good stops, even a take away or two.  And I think he'd be better on D than Scott.

That said, I want to see Scott get some minutes each game - I think he can be our next Diener if we let him play.  His shot today was HUGE - 5 seconds into the game for him, at a tense point in the game, and he drains it.

Want to see more of the kid!

you better not be including me in there as one of the "three".  i've been a big supporter of Fitz since he got to MU.  and if you noticed, my post was praising him for doing something noone else on the team does... follow their shot.  he rebounded 2 of his 3 shots, and those came from 20+ft.

i hope he lights the place up against UL.  i have all the faith inthe world in the guy.  but just imagine if James, McNeal, Matthews, or Hayward followed their shots from 15+ ft.  those are typically long rebounds.  Kudos to Fitz, and he will get his stroke back!

It was more the first two to respond, they didn't think much before they posted i believe!

To me, the wrist injuries look to be still bothering Fitz and DJ.

ChicosBailBonds

Fitz carried us the end of last season when McNeal went down....really shot lights out.

Keep playing fitz

yep, will say to get back if you have post players to get those boards, otherwise they ALWAYS TEACH "FOLLOW YOUR SHOT"!!!  watch MU, 90% of the time they have four guys 15+ft away from the hoop.  who's crashing the boards?  maybe that's why this is the first time they out rebounded a team in their last 7 outings.

and it's not the fact he got a rebound off his shot (which he almost always seems to do every game), but it was the fact he almost ALWAYS goes to the hoop incase he misses.  DJ doesn't.  he fires up a 3, hangs his hand in the air, and watches it clang.  i can't count the times MU could have retained possession had the shooter simply take 2-3 steps in after they released the ball, because of long rebounds.

he gives them 2nd chance pt opportunities because he hustles.  once his shot falls again... only good things on the horizon.
