Jayce almost deserves to start at this point

startnomatta. I totally trust Wojo on the way he allocates minutes to the 5. He has been excellent at it as MU coach.

How Theo who can not catch or rebound or play defense without fouling gets equal to or more minutes than Jayce is absolutely baffling to me.  Total projo but cannot wrap my head around this one

Theo was awesome against X, and has had several other fine games. The games Theo doesn't have it, or Jayce simply outplays him, Jayce gets plenty of run. Trust the coach. He sees them every day in practice. Theo has been a warrior for 3 years. Absolutely no reason to make a change.

Jayce.

Period.

No debate. Was dominate inside today.

Sorry, my brother, but I will debate.

I thought Bailey was the best player on the floor today, from the opening tip to the very end. Great effort, great shooting, led us in rebounding, nice D, only 1 TO in 30+ mins, didn't force anything - every shot he took was the right play. When he plays like this, we are very difficult to beat.

Jayce runner-up.

Then McEwen - a little too loose with the ball at times, but a few nice assists and two dagger 3s.

I wanted it to be Koby after that stretch of 3, 3, and the assist from the floor that led to a made three by Bailey. Turned the game from a "Oh god if Baldwin gets hot they could get back in this" game to a game that Tommy Gardiner gets some playing time. But overall game I think it belongs to Bailey.

Shout out to the bigs and Anim for their defense. Golden was coming off a game where he scored 18 points and went 9/11 against Nova. Jayce and Theo combined to hold him to 7 points on 3/11 shooting. Anim was the primary defender on McDermott and he went 0/5 from the floor.

I also want to give an honorable mention to Markus and Wojo. Markus has a tendency to try and make games a one on one matchup when the opposing team's staf player gets hot. There was a point where Wojo pulled Markus aside and seemed to have a direct conversation with him. I don't know what was said, but I hypothesize that he was reminding Markus that the best way to beat Baldwin was to beat him with the whole team. From that point, Markus scored 6 points, went 2/2 from the field, drew a foul, got a steal, and turned it over once. Good situational awareness to help seal the game.

Jayce, for D and bounds.
Can't argue with Brendan, who also played good D.

I'll go Koby, although have no problem with BB or JJ. Nice a have a three way race without M2N (no offense to him).

I don't see how one can argue Jacye because of the boards, when Bailey grabbed the most and more impressive ones too. Needless to say it's more fun debating who is SOTG.

Bailey for SOTG, Jayce a strong second.

Others have mentioned this, but I would also like to give kudos to Wojo for how he handled Markus today. This was the first time I've seen Wojo be demonstrable in curbing Markus's instinct to try to take over a game. Bodes well for him and this team.

Yessir. AND his handling of Koby after 'mock flop' to get his focus realigned with an arse kicking and a little think about it bench time. Koby re-entered the game with determination and great focus.
