Eagles not quite as powerful these days

Until they win a couple of Big East games on the road, many national web sites currently view Marquette as just another team jockeying for decent position in the NCAA field.
With three of its next four games away from the Bradley Center, now would be a good time for MU to make a move back into the the upper quarter of the bracket.
Sports Illustrated's Luke Winn had Marquette in his power rankings for most of the season, but he's kept the Golden Eagles out of his poll for the second consecutive week.
"The Eagles can't win a Big East road game to save their lives," writes Winn...which doesn't bode well for their chances in the NCAA tournament."
For the second week in a row, Marquette missed ESPN.com's Power 16 . It will probably take a road victory Saturday at Cincinnati and a win against Louisville Monday for Marquette to even be considered to be back in the select group. Wisconsin sits at No. 13.
However, not all national pundints are down on MU. Yahoo.com still ranks the Golden Eagles 16th on its Bracket Big Board.
