Providence has replaced Butler at the top of my list of loved Big East teams.  Cooley is the #1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10th reason.

#3, 5 and 7 is because I like saying "The Dunk"

There is respect, as there should be.   I think Cooley is a solid coach.   I bear no ill will toward Providence.   I just want to kick their butts every single time.

And yes, I hope the Friar team is hanging out at Real Chili at 3am.

I also really like Cooley.  The only ill will I have towards them is that Diallo is a POS douchebag.  Great player but a complete clown.  Probably my least favorite player in the conference after anyone on Seton Hall.

I'm guessing the black jerseys were due to being on FOX. Maybe the players really like them, otherwise, not sure why they wouldn't go light blue or gold.

At first glance, it was weird seeing Nova coming out looking like they were in our light blues while we came out in black.

Took a few minutes to sink in.

I don't mind the black jerseys, per se, but not a fan if opponents are gonna wear blue, light blue or gold.

I am not upset that we played it. I am still upset with the refs who gave the ball back to Providence every time they slipped. That was a joke.

I guess that's a reason. But why wasn't the Eagle simply wearing a black MU uniform instead of the usual gold MU uniform? Found this on the site for Olympus Mascots, the company that redesigned the costume in 2018:

"The Golden Eagle mascot has outfits for basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball; generic branded outfits for university and community events, and even has a bowtie for weddings and things like that. The Golden Eagle mascot can wear anything that a person would wear, so we really like that feature this year." Matt Michalko, Marketing Assistant

Maybe the mascot will wear a toga the next time the team is in home whites. Or a chef's uniform. How about a lab coat?

I don't mind Providence at all now, but my Freshman year at Marquette (2011-12) they were such an annoyance. They had no right being in that game. Ugh, Bryce Cotton.

Last year in Milwaukee, he decided that he was gonna show Markus who was the man. He was super chippy with him and others. Mean mugging the crowd. He completely took Markus out and then stood over him which lead to Sacar coming over and pushing him away. He played like all of the douchebag Cincy teams, and that's not what i normally associate with Cooley
