Winning Warriors help make for wonderful day!

Drove up from Chicago with my wife and son for the game.

Found a free parking spot on the street within 3 blocks of Fiserv.

Met a couple of Marquette buddies I don't get to see that often at Milwaukee Brat House and shared some great memories and laughs. Also enjoyed two New Glarus beers (Moon Man, Spotted Cow).

Watched our Warriors play very well in defeating the No. 10 team in the country. Stood and cheered much of the game.

Went to Leon's for delicious frozen custard. (Butter pecan - to die for!)

Went to my son's in-laws in the northern burbs to eat deep-dish pizza and to spend a few hours with friends and family, including our 5-month-old grand-twins, Logan and Jack.

Drove back to my son's place to tuck in "LoJack."

Watched the end of the Patriots' playoff loss to Tennessee.

That, my friends, is a pretty damn good day!

I hope all Scoopers had a similarly wonderful day, and I wish many more for everybody.

My favorite is Pequod's, but only to eat at the restaurant. Their delivery takes so long, it's not as good. Second (and first among city/suburb-wide chains) is Giordano's. After that, I like most of the other big names (Malnati's, Gino's, Uno, etc) about equally. Used to really like Nancy's, a local Lakeview joint, when we lived there.

There ain't nothing like any of those here, especially Pequod's.

Ditto! I'll go back there next time I'm in Chicago and the Warriors are playing. Might not be till next season though. I'll give you a shout if I know in advance.
