Just looking at the AP poll and noticed 9 of 10 Big East teams received votes.  Has a league ever had 90% of there teams ranked this high?  Said another way, the Big East has 9 teams in the top 42 teams in the country!  Very nice.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this plays out over the course of the conference season. It's great the conf has 9 of 10 teams getting votes, but disappointing to have only 2 in the top 25. It is going to be difficult for multiple additional conference teams to elevate their ranking substantially when so many appear to be of similar caliber. If most teams are bunched up and tread water against each other as appears likely, it is going to be very difficult to have multiple teams with high seeds (4 or better) at the end of the year. The conference season should be extremely competitive and fun to follow, but the absence of 2 or 3 lesser teams (at least as it appears now) may not bode well for the conference come March.
