And we'll get to tell them in person in 2022.

The Marquette-Notre Dame basketball rivalry is being renewed:
#mubb will host the Fighting Irish @FiservForum in the 2022-23 season.
The Golden Eagles will play at South Bend in the 2023-24 season.

OSO delicious. JUSTIN time. For their JR years, if they're not already in the League.
(No good play on words for Dawson....who should be in NBA by then regardless)
Zenyatta has a lot....a lot... of ground to make up. She gets there from here she'd be a super horse......what's this.....Zenyatta hooked to the grandstand side....Zenyatta flying on the outside....this....is...un-belieeeeeevable!...looked impossible at the top of the stretch...

Unless something else changes from status quo/expectation, this means 2022-23 home games against:
Notre Dame
Wisconsin
Connecticut
Villanova
Georgetown
Xavier
Butler
Creighton
Seton Hall
St. John's
Providence
DePaul

That's 11 quality home games, plus DePaul.

Plus possibly a B12 and/or a Gavitt game.

I'm excited about these guys, but let's maybe pump the breaks on the NBA talk here. We may want to see them play an actual college game or two before signing them up for the draft.

This is good news for basketball, for Marquette and Notre Dame fans.

The rivalry between our two schools has been great, going back as far as I can remember. Digger, Johnny Dee, Al, Hank and some of the great players for both teams (Tripuka, Ellis, Lucas, Lambier, Austin Carr, Butch, the Riverses (David and Glenn) etc.)

Should be a lot of fun and should start, hopefully rekindling a good rivalry between us.

Finally a thread title we can all agree on.

If we're going to keep playing UW in November now to accommodate for the big ten scheduling changes, it would be great if ND could become that mid-December weekend game scheduled just before finals. This game is so much more fun when the place is full and the student section is into it.

It has also to do with BE scheduling too. Talk is that 20 games is going to require that.

Also my guess is the late thanksgiving had a lot to do with November Badger game.

Move UW series to February.  ;D

From what I heard, it sounded like this series was actually confirmed over summer, and was supposed to be announced the week that UConn ended up announcing its return to the Big East.  Either the Big East or Marquette obviously delayed an announcement, but I'm glad it finally got confirmed.

GoldenWarrior11

So, by that point, we will have:

20 conference games
3 exempt tournament games
2 Gavitt/B12 challenge games
Wisconsin
Notre Dame

That's at least 27 competitive games.  Leaves very little room for the cupcake additions (and for error).
