Surprised no one has made the comment/joke that this is the first big-time recruit (top 25) that we've gotten without "having to first offer the brother".

For anyone else who watched the announcement, Norlander came off like a completely B10 stooge/clown before the announcement. Rattled off why Garcia would best fit in at Indiana/Minnesota, then mentioned Memphis. Then tossed Marquette in at the end like "well, they will need scoring when Howard leaves. Heh heh, they're gonna need a lot of help". It wasn't even like he was anti-Marquette, just came off as acting like Marquette wasn't in the same level as these programs and it would be surprising if they got it done.

Also, they had the footer announcing Marquette before the delayed video showed him grabbing the hat

I saw it and I didn't see anything blatantly condescending toward Marquette. Think you're just over reacting to nothing

It wasn't even like he was anti-Marquette, just came off as acting like Marquette wasn't in the same level as these programs and it would be surprising if they got it done.

Probably bitter that after picking Marquette like 54th in his 1-353 rankings, he said that in Marquette's first five games, the over/under on wins should be 2.5 and strongly asserted he'd take the under. Safe to say we'll hit the over by game 4 and 4-1 is still the most likely scenario.

Crazy that such a poor leader and someone with an inability to motivate others can manage to wrangle in a recruit of this caliber.
