I actually was at McIlvaine's 13-block game. Was living in Minnesota then but happened to be in Milwaukee, so went to the game with my little brother. So much fun.

Getting beat back door is not necessarily a bad strategy when you have Theo John patrolling the paint.

4 blocks, 2 fouls with 12 minutes in the first half is a recipe for a loss.

I think he's gotten a lot smarter since the start of last season and was even baiting guys into the paint at times last night. He's still going to be a high volume foul guy because that's just his style of play, but as long as he cuts down on the really bad ones, I'll be OK with that.

It's a great thing to have a guy that can bring energy on the defensive end of the floor. We'll just have to accept a few more fouls as a result. I'll take that trade off.

I don't want Theo getting moving-screen fouls 30 feet from the offensive hoop or silly reach-in fouls 30 feet from the defensive hoop. Otherwise, he is going to commit some fouls just because that goes with being a rim protector.

I want him to stay as aggressive as he was last night. I'm glad we have Morrow to fill in when necessary, and I hope Jayce is healthy soon. It will be a nice, 3-headed, 15-available-foul monster.

Esp. with very capable backups in Johnson and Morrow,  we can afford for Theo to be extremely aggressive.  Now next year... he will need to much more selective in his "fly swatting".
