That’s been part of a crime problem in DT mpls. Not an isolated incident.

I was a bit shocked that it was broad day light and at a very public place.  I realize this stuff happens and maybe the proliferation of video cameras will catch more of it.

When we lived there, it happened to be during the Miami Vice heyday. And the locals often liked to refer to themselves as Minneapolis Nice or Minnesota Nice.

I like to think that this violence is not the norm there now -- just some bad apples. But I haven't been there in many years to know.

In certain parts, it is the norm.

It's quite bad. I live downtown and the things I see on a daily basis are amazing. Definitely not a place for everyone.

There are certain areas that you do not want to be at certain times... but you must be on your guard always.

Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Sad to hear.

Really, any major metro area has parts one would best avoid, but I always loved downtown Minneapolis.

In sleepy-ass downtown Minneapolis?  Like where?

Seems that all this started as soon as JB sold his place in the ‘burbs.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

4th and Hennepin.

No coincidence this happens to be the intersection of many bus lines and the light trail.
