It pains me to share a Rovell tweet, but Budweiser shared a touching tribute video before his final regular season game.

Did the scholarship recipient go to MU? Looked like her grad photo was in front of Joan of Arc.

This was incredibly well done.

I believe that was a part of the scholarship he set up through Boys and Girls Club and MU.

Here's the YouTube video.  I must have gotten something in both of my eyes...

I got something in my eyes as well. Must be allergy season. That was awesome. The greatest player in MU history became a great man along the way. A well deserved tribute for DWade!!

That's definitely Joan of Arc at the 2:38 mark.

Ah...spring time...damn allergies.

My God, was that powerful.

#UnleashSean

Hope Dwayne makes the playoffs. Finishing off his career in Milwaukee would be pretty fitting.

SERocks

Wow.

Marquette University and the basketball program can change lives.  Imagine if DWade was not given the chance to put on the Blue and Gold?  From what I remember, it was not an easy thing to get him here.....

Sometimes taking a chance is worth everything.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Although I don't hope DWade makes the playoffs because that would mean the Hornets missed 'em, that was a very nice video.

Wussies.  Real men have allergies.  And seek out head trauma.

Could not ask for a better representative. The embodiment of Cura Personalis. We are very lucky to say that D Wade is one of ours.

Now I just need to go get some Benadryl as the Zyrtec doesn't seem to be fighting the pollen in my eyes well enough.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Very, very few young men from his background and put through so much continue to try and be better, to do better, to strive for excellence. And to use his position to help others is the true act of Christianity. I love the guy. Very happy to call him one of Marquette's own.

I absolutely love this guy.  He came from an incredibly tough background, worked his tail off and accomplished what few could dream of.  His ability to stay down to earth and look out for others is awesome and inspiring.

Excellent Video, excellent man, mentor, and role model.

I look forward to what he will do after basketball.

There seems to be a leak in the bathroom above me.

I value that the two knobs who wouldn't have allowed his entry into MU are long shyt canned. Except for that short stint, MU has never been traditional nor elite. And, the symbolism in the background of a church honoring a Lady Warrior didn't escape me.

Well done, 3.   One of the greats.    And to be a better man than player?    No higher praise.

We couldn't be more blessed than to have him represent our program.

Surprising to me the lack of response and acknowledgement from this Board on his retirement. I am pretty sure there were more comments and posts on Juno's board when he and ODB showed up to midnight madness.

The youngsters don't drink that swill.  They are into the craft beers.

That was a great commercial.
I am in south Florida right now and watched all the local coverage in the local media. I don't know that I realized how much he has impacted people here.
He did mention MU last night post-game, along with his high school and I think even his grade school.
His last home game was awesome as he knocked down consecutive 3's. He jumped on the scorer's table after, but stumbled and actually injured his knee.

Marquette published an interview with Tamara Johnson, the alum featured in the Budweiser tribute ad, about how Wade impacted her life.

To think there was a time when people worried how Wade would fare when he played real competition like Steve Logan or Josh Howard.
