Admire the hell out of Vander's persistence to achieve his dream.  Sure hope he can return to the form he had prior to the fog machine accident, and fulfill his NBA dream.

Yet, also hope he doesn't hold onto it for too long, before the 7 figure opportunities dry up.

No doubt there are cultural differences, but sports is important for many Asians.

No one here is wishing him anything but success.  There is some frustration, including held by his former head coach, at whether the dream he wanted could have been achieved through a different path, but everyone hopes he catches lightning in a bottle and makes it.   Also hard not to argue with those that are looking at father time and wondering if making some money overseas isn't a smart play at this point.  Tough call for a tough man who has had his share of tough breaks.
"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me.” Al McGuire
