That would be the single stupidest decision made in over four decades. We are a storied program. Learn our history and make comments based off our place in ball history.

I'd like to see more sustained success from Wardle.  If Bradley makes the tourney next year, and the year after, and maybe a Sweet 16 run, I'll consider it.

Our last 2 head coaches have had a combined 14-17 head coaching record previously. At least Wardle gives us some experience.

I wish Wardle the best of luck in his coaching career.

But I have zero interest in him as head coach at Marquette

Could you explain how Wojo was a better hire?

He incorporated the Ron Paul gif into PowerPoint.

Absolutely not.  He’s a Tom Crean clone on and off the court.  I loved him as a player but he’d be a disaster.

We need to throw money at an established coach.  Kelvin Sampson, Dana Altman, Tony Bennett, etc.

We talk endlessly about our commitment to basketball, let’s see it.

If Brian Wardle was to be our next coach he would be the most established coach Marquette would be to hire in the last 19 years. At least MU is 2/3 out of that so far.

Tom Crean coaching tree.....cannot wait to watch this thread.

I’ll get the popcorn.

Howland with our resources would print Elite 8s.  But he didn’t give President Flashy Things the warm fuzzies so...

I remember.  I got my head handed to me saying Howland should be a no brainier over Wojo.

I also said I'd be the first one to admit I was wrong if that were proven to be the case.  Sadly, I still get to say Howland was the better choice.

Wardle can’t handle the heat, or even success, at Bradley. No thanks.

The day Wojo was announced I said it was awful. Either it became a stepping stone to Duke and were in the same situation as Buzz and Crean, or Wojo would be awful.

You were not alone in this assessment.  Either Wojo performs as well as other Duke assistants (generally poor), or he is a raging success and goes to Duke when Coach K retires.  Except for a year or two of success (which is a long-shot) there is no upside to hiring a Duke assistant.

That’s because the prez and BOT wanted a team of choir boys.  And that’s what we have here folks. This team is softer than Charmin.  They are a spitting image of the man in charge.

The toughness of a Howland team would have been nice a few hours ago.  Sigh.

God forbid we get anymore Jae Crowder's, Jimmy Butler's, or Darius Johnson Odom's. Those guys were so soft, announcers were talking about their chances of playing in the NFL.
