Does Tate Martell being granted immediate eligibility set a precedent for a TON of transfers for something as small as playing time/being a starter?

That's all you need to know about the author.
"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me." Al McGuire

This just follows the Justin Fields precedent, doesn't it?

McLintock

Fields was the recipient of some imbecile GA baseball player's racist words or actions while at GA, which gave him a case that the NCAA would never deny (you won't find this in the official record, as GA contested the immediate eligibility initially, but then agreed not to contest it if Fields and his entourage would say the incident was nothing and not an issue), so its a bit different than Martell.  But the baseball player story was well publicized when it happened, everyone knows it happened and I believe the baseball player was kicked out of school for it.  Once that happened, Fields had a golden ticket that would never be denied if he wanted to transfer and play immediately, even though his real reason for transferring is of course playing time.

Does that somehow take away from the fact that it was public knowledge that Tate transferred simply to remain a starter and he was granted immediate eligibility?
